Clarification of some CMS terminology (link) Clarification of some CMS terminology - Another thread on the CMS-list, this one sparked by an enquiry about commonly used technologies within CMS's. Of special interest was this post which suggests 3 broad categories of template in a CMS, procedural (ASP, PHP etc), rules based (XML,XSL) and component based (predefined, selectable UI components) and introduces some tradeoffs in complexity and usability by authors. 11:52:58 AM
