WaikCookie now has a user directive (link)

WebLinks app is now using WaikCookie for Authentication. The HTTPD.CONF entry demands the presence of a Cookie, and the script itself handles Authorisation by extracting the username from the Cookie using a method from WaikCookie.pm

WaikCookie now has a 'user' directive thanx to a mod made by Jamie on the Asterix copy. We can now chain a set of groups, and individual users who are required but where perhaps the whole group does not need access.

Installed Browser_Info PHP script (link)

Installed a new Browser_Info PHP script on Asterix as a replacement for the old ASP based on that was on dean.its. Have modified the webteam homepage to link directly to the new PHP based script and redirected dean.its to point to the replacement.

The old script was driven by user_agent string matches in a browscap.ini file which was way out of date and updates are really only usefully available by subscribing to the service (which MNGT do by the way). The new one does some sniffing of the contents of the UA string.
