Perl Coding Style Guide from SlashDot (link) Perl Coding Style Guide from SlashDot - Whilst searching for some entity encoding stuff today I came accross the SlashStyle document, which includes conventions that are generic enough for general perl coding use and "apply to perl modules, web programs, and command-line programs, specifically, but also might apply to some degree to any Perl code" 4:35:31 PM |
Klez Worm Infected webmaster Emails (link) Klez Worm Infected webmaster Emails - We've been getting an increasing number of responses from mail-marshall filters at external sites that pick up on emails that contain viruses and appear to have been sent from 'webmaster@waikato.ac.nz' It turns out that these are mostly from variants of the Klez virus/worm which fakes the 'from' address 11:29:26 AM |

Since the late 1970's its activities have primarily focussed on developing and publishing Industry Standards for the interchange of news data - these are the folks that are coordinating development of the NITF and NewsML formats, details of which are on their website. Why Use WebDAV? (link) Why Use WebDAV? - further to the experiment I had with DAV the other night, I thought I oughta RTFM (well the FAQ at least). There were a couple of interesting suggestions for use of DAV which I hadn't considered. One which will definately be useful is for use on the 'migrator' project. The process that ends up managing migration from the devel/test/staging environment to the live one could easily use DAV to add/remove files on the live box. Perfect !!! 10:03:05 AM |
