Removed FTP access from WAVE and XTRA Removed FTP access from WAVE and XTRA - was previously enabled so folks could FTP from ISP accounts. There doesnt appear to have been any FTP activity from these domains since Octiber 2001. 12:19:00 PM

XML parse/test shell script XML parse/test shell script - Knocked out a wee shell script that does a perl one-liner to attempt to parse an XML file who's path is given as the 1st argument. It uses XML::Parser and will echo any parsing errors and indicate the line that was broken and a couple of lines either side of it. See 12:10:09 PM

Ampersands (&'s) in URLs (link) Ampersands (&'s) in URLs - We need to remember to encode Ampersands using the entitiy name & rather than the single & character when chaining CGI paramaters together in URLs. Most browsers will handle them and correctly pass them onto the target CGI script, but the page itself wont validate. Have just modified QuickSearch, Links and Timetable. 10:48:18 AM
