Wipe This !!! (link)
Toilet Roll

It's a sad fact that people commonly steal tolet rolls from work instead of buying their own for home, but have you ever wondered what those toilet roll holders you see everywhere now actually cost? Do our employers lack so much trust in us, and really lose that many rolls that they have to resort to these lockable roll holders?

There's a double-whammy with this too, the dispenser mechanism is normally so difficult to extract paper from, the friction so high, that you're lucky if you can dispense more than three co-joined segments at once before the paper tears off.  No doubt this is a devious paper-saving design feature to stop folks wrenching out 30-segment runs for a single wipe of the be-hind.

So not only do our employers think we're dishonest, but they also think we're so incompetent (or should that be incontinent) that we're unable to wipe our own butts effectively.

I Dream of Gypsies (link)

Man I had this freaky dream last night. I was standing in an open grassy field on a mountain top with this Gypsy looking family. They were busying themselves tending their horses, and generally mucking about, and I was pestering the family leader dude about where they were from and their lifestyle etc. If your into dream-analysis, dont bother me with any explanation. :-)

Who Would Jesus Bomb? (link)

the Anti-War Movement is gaining momentum in the states at the moment, and this article at Wired talks about how the communications provided by Internet infrastructure has helped organise people into protests before the war, instead of after its started as in previous wars. One of the slogans on a protest placard read "Who Would Jesus Bomb?".  Of course Jesus wouldn't bomb anyone, he'd be jumping on his donkey and getting the hell outta there.
