NZ Cricket Team Beat India in Hamilton (link)

Flemming NZ Cricket captain yesterday a bunch of us went down to our local cricket stadium to watch the final match in a series of one-dayers between the NZ national team and India. The event also happened to be the first day-nighter for Hamilton where the last few hours are normally played under liights.

The lights weren't really needed as it turned out coz the Indians were only able to manage 122 runs during their innings, and NZ reached the total taking only 30 overs and losing only 4 wickets. Basically it was a thrashing, not that we noticed.

We went through our share of beer (Tui and DB-Export, hardly the ideal selection). The crowd were bloody excellent really considering the underwhelming performance out on the pitch, and the fact that even the blokes had to queue for the loo. Didn't see any arrests, and there werent any incidences of streaking that I noticed.

Women and Catfish (link)

Now I'd have to admit an interest in both Women... and Fishing, but rarely do Women and Fish appear in the same sentence, well clean sentences at least. So the following I found intriguing to say the least...

Proof, if it were needed, that the internet is a truly special place: I give you Women and Catfish and the sister site, Women and Carp. Truly truly special - and raises so many questions...

Who is the Biggest Threat To Peace (link)

Time are running a poll on their website to find out who people think poses the greatest danger to world peace? The options are North Korea, Iraq or the United States. Have a guess who's romping in at 80% at the moment?

In the footer of the results page Time include the following disclaimer... "NOTE: This is an unscientific, informal survey for the interest and enjoyment of TIME.com users and may not be indicative of popular opinion."
