Greatest Briton of All Time - The BBC is running a series of TV programmes currently which are looking at some of the greatest Britons and are running a vote on who people think is the greatest of them all.

It truely amazes me to see that Diana appears amongst the top-10 britons (selected through an initial vote I think) and in company of the likes of Darwin, Brunel, Churchill etc. The documentary profiling her screens tonight in the UK so no doubt there'll be lots of talk on the web about it tommorow.

Another unlikely candidate if you ask me is John Lennon. Popular-Schmopular!!!!

Russian gas may be secret crowd-control weapon - no kidding, especially if your definition of crowd-control is loose enough to include actually killing most of the crowd. You've got to give it to the Ruskies though, they really dont stuff around with trouble makers. My father always comments on how the Germans never muck around with water-cannon at protests etc, and no points for guessing who the Russians got the gas idea from either.

Dear Saddam, How Can I Help? - Speaking of wiping out your own citizens with poisonous gas, according to an article at Wired there have been loads of emails intercepted recently being sent to the dictator giving him all manner of evil tips for world domination.

One helpful writer from China suggests use of methyl bromide for a little terrorist action.."For weapon use, have function: no color, no smell, will let person dead in a few second"
