Nuke Them Hills (link)
Nuke

Nuke Them Hills - During the squable in Yugoslavia in 1999 the US dropped some of its best available bunker-bombs (developed during the gulf war) on an underground bunker containing Serbian fighter-planes. Some time later the planes emerged quite unharmed and scuttled off.

More recently the yanks tried more advanced 'technology' against Al Qaeda fighters bunkered up in the Tora Bora hills region in Afghanistan with the similar results on occasion, fighters would wobble out in between attacks and scarper.

So whats the solution.  The Pentagon is considering NUKE-ING THE HELL OUTTA THEM with specially designed bunker busters, despite the fact that offical US policy up to now has been to develop nuclear weapons only as a detterent.

The Little Satellite That Started It All (link)

The Little Satellite That Started It All - Forty-five years ago the former Soviet Union lofted the world's first artificial satellite of Earth: Sputnik 1. The basketball-sized spacecraft weighed some 184 pounds (84-kilograms) and whipped about the globe every 98 minutes. And with every orbit, Sputnik 1 thumbed its nose at America's technological prowess

Giant Ice Blocks Fall From Sky (link)

Giant Ice Blocks Fall From Sky - I watched the Stephen King movie Rose Red the other day, I'm not a great fan or his stuff or the horror genre' in general, but anyway one of the characters was this freaked-up girl who had some telekinesis like ability and on a couple of occasions she summonsed these great boulders from the sky and pounded them down onto the poor neighbours house.

Well it turns out that she must really be alive and kicking in Spain coz people there have been spotting 10kg (20lb) blocks of Ice falling from the sky. Of course there's a scientific explanation but I still reckon its that girl.
