Police stop car in protest

Trouble in the Hood - we had some excitement in the neighbourhood a couple of nights ago. I was riding home from Kym's place and spotted what I thought were police cars in a road near the house I live in. Turns out some local property developers were attempting to move a house and a bunch of protestors had turned up to get in the way.

The protest was about as effective as the one Arthur Dent involved himself in when the council started to build a motorway through his front-garden (the Vogon destructor fleet turned up to destroy Earth anyway, hopefully that doesn't happen to Hamilton)

Never-the-less, many in the community are upset about the plans of the developers (who apparently own about 10 houses in the vicinity) as they expect they will replace the 'character' homes with modern town-house type complexes. Of course, not being an owner myself, I dont really give-a-stuff. character schmaracter !!! :-)

Poll: Americans support annexing Canada (link)

Poll: Americans support annexing Canada - Should Canada become the 51st American state? Four out of 10 Americans answered "sure" in a recent poll conducted by Leger Marketing of Montreal. Of course, most Canadians would have a different opinion. :-)
