Conference Day Two Day two of the conference has rolled around. Both Jamie and I are settling into the swing of things, I've been having heavy-eyelid periods during the day for 20mins or so at a time which I can sort of push thru now which is cool, its not a good look nodding off in a tutorial (as I've seen the odd person do on occasion).
Last night was another good wind-down (relaxing after the conference hasnt been too much of a problem in this wicked weather). Jamie met a fellow bike rider during the day (of course) and we all met up for dinner and a few beers at night. The dude was wickedly down-to-earth and was nice to talk about something other than technology for a change.
Right now I'm off to an evening event here where there are gonna be some open-source award presentations, but most fun is gonna be Larry Walls state-of-the-nation talk, which is always entertaining in a very Uber-geek sort of way. He's a bloody tech-legend and if you can follow the in-jokes a hillarious speaker. There'll be loads of terrible geeky-gufffawing going on in the crowd as usual.
