Social fun over, Geek fun begins First day of the open-source conference started today. Its geek-central of course, loads of t-shirt clad long-haired, bespectacled bearded men (and women :-) Jamie and I are staying in the hotel thats hosting the event which is a blessing as I can basically flop out of bed when the alarm goes off, slip into my shorts and slide out the door to the elevator. I'm into the action within 5 minutes. Bloody Brillliant !!! My rooms up on the 14th floor which means I get to stop at every bloody floor on the way down to pick up someone else heading to their talk. I'm pretty certain that this years OSCON is also a combination with some convention for mute/dumb people coz so far I've hardly heard a single word from anyone on the way down. Communication skills arent exactly top hiring criteria for geeks I guess. 8:36:39 AM
