World Cup Cricket: Good and Bad (link)
the World Cup has kicked off in Africa, South African President Thabo Mbeki opened the series in front of a 25,000-strong crowd with an estimated worldwide television audience of 1.4 billion people. The Black Caps (our NZ national team) have ballsed things up by losing their opening match, and after forfeiting the point for the 1st game which they declined to play in Kenya for "security reasons" we are pretty much screwed. That's the 'Bad-News' The fantastically 'Good News' (Hillarious even) is that star Australian bowler Shane Warne has been sent home after recent blood test results showed he had diuretics present, which are often used to mask performance enhancing drugs. Bad Luck Warney !!! hehe ... I wouldn't have been suprised to hear they'd found traces of Xenical as well though. The even funnier thing is that poor little Shane has resorted to blaming his mum for forcing the diuretics on him. Read more on the issue in Peter Fiztsimons hilarious take on the debacle. 5:30:17 PM |
