DeeKnow’s Grotto

well its official now, I finally got my arse into gear and bought myself a new motorbike last Thursday. I can't believe its taken me this long to write about it but I guess I've been too busy actually riding the thing.

I ended up buying the Ducati 600ss that I took for a test-ride last week and am absolutely loving it.  Having 50-odd horses vs 35 is great for powering out of corners, actually accelerating uphill, and being able to pass cars on the open road without chewing through your lip wondering if your gonna make it past.

Although I'm still getting used to the different handling compared to my old GPX250, I'm allready having way more fun, and am pretty much sporting a grin from the moment I reach for the keys to go for a ride.

Speaking of which .... BRRRRMMMmmmmm....

A few weeks back my mate Rob left a message on our answering service at the flat that went something like this...

"This is a message for Dean, theres little chance of him actually being organised enough to call me back, but you live in hope of these things. Kirkmeister is in town, we should hook up for the rugby, we have a spare ticket..."

Next thing, in the background somewhere near the callers phone there's an explosion...

!!! BOOM !!!

And a second later the first thing you hear is our mate Kirky laughing his arse off. Kirky is the ultimate practical joker and someone you don't enter into practical-joke trading with, lightly. Although I haven't confirmed it, I'd bet anything that he had something to do with the explosion.
