DeeKnow’s Grotto

We had our end of year team lunch today at a local cafe here in Hamilton, the "Hydro Majestic". It was a splendid meal really, the place is only a short stumble from the house I live in currently so I'm resonably familiar with the menu so I went for the Corn Fritters... MMMMmmmmm..

Paul looks a little pissed in this photo, but the truth is we were good little employees and only had a single drink each. The cafe-staff got a little toe-y near the end as they were kinda busy and we were hogging an empty table, but by the time we jumped back in the car the weather was turning to shit anyway so timing was pretty good.

As you can see, I'm making rather tiresome use of my new digital camera :-)

I haven't seen anything about this reported on our national news over the last few weeks, but according to an article on the Sydney Morning Herald site, the US Attorney-General issued an order last month requiring "male non-citizens over the age of 16 from 18 countries, mostly Arab and Muslim, to be interviewed, photographed and fingerprinted by federal authorities".

Is it just me, or does this all sound very WWII like to you? I'm sure there's no connection between Bush and Nazi's, but...

Bored of the Rings? - the second installment of "Lord of the Rings" premiered yesterday and is open to plebs like you and me in cinemas around the world from today. Just now I started to read some of the emerging reviews of the movie on sites like Salon and Slashdot but paused for a minute, and stopped.

The fact is, I really dont give too much of a jolly-toss what others think about the movie, critics will say mostly good things, and will be oblidged to nit-pick whatever they can, but lets face it, U just gotta get your butt down there and see the thing for yourself.
