I Didn't Die Today

Called into Lord Plunket's for a quick bevvie on the way home from work tonight, we sat on the front porch sorting out the worlds problems for awhile, then Cock casually slides into the conversation the fact that he'd dreamt that I'd died. Bloody great way to lift my spirits for the long weekend. Correction: he just emailed me to say he actually said he didnt care if I died coz it would probably be while enjoying myself on the bike. That makes me feel better of course :)

Needless to say I took it easy on the bike on the way to Newcastle Manner riding at a nice life preserving pace. Got in the door and popped open a beer and proceeded to have a little two-person party with Lady Newcastle on our front porch.

At one point I walk thru the lounge for a top-up and hear a voiceover man on a documentary on the telly belch out "Even the Dead can be targets". what the hell? I laughed it off kinda nervously and carried on my merry un-superstitous way

Then blow me down I'm heading back to the fridge a while later and another monotone doco voice drones out of the giggle-box... "for David Mokuku the Death Imprint would be the moment that would change his life forever". Holy Crap!!!

Now of course its the start of bloody Easter weekend and all we'll hear will be reconstructions of the painful death of poor old Jesus. Death is definately in the air, but it seems it didnt involve me today, praise the Lord :-)
