Hello Moqtada ... are you home? (link) After days of millitary build-up around the Iraqi city the Americans
finally stormed into Najaf yesterday in an effort to control world oild
prices .... whoops... I mean to combat terrorism. By the time you
read this is it'll be old news of course, but what really cracked me up
about it was the coverage of the event on morning news as I was considering getting out of bed. The newsreader was describing the Yanks raiding the house of Cleric Moqtada al-Sadr and changed his tone to say "BUT THE CLERIC WASNT HOME". No fuking kidding Pete (Williams), I mean lets face it, he was hardly going to be sitting in his kaftan and slippers sipping apple tea in front of the telly now was he 8:29:08 AM
