DeeKnow’s Grotto

We had a nice low key day yesterday. Did bugger all other than walking round town, eating and drinking water (hot weather all day) and people watching. 'Met' lots of nice homeless folks outside every bottle store we walked past. They'd ask "Got some change?" ... we'd reply "sorry mate" ... and they'd say "OK, thankyou anyway". Heck, even the bums are polite up here.

Speaking of bums, we had a couple of quiets in the shaded back-yard of the hostel last night which turned into a few rowdy's as more residents came home from their day's activities. Everyone was havin a great time. Talking up the usual hostel kinda stuff, places people have travelled, things they do for fun, differences between cultures etc etc.

All of a sudden at about midnight in walks this tall shirtless English yobbo. Totally off his trolly and I'm pickin it wasnt just alchohol. What a total dickhead. Started hitting on girls (including ones with boyfriends), dissing Canadians, making lewd comments etc, took us all about 5 minutes to get over the attitude change shock, then we all one-by-one started getting cracks back at him, 95% of which were goin right over his head. Was pretty funny in the end, but basically he wrecked what was a cool evening. Probably a good thing tho coz Jamie and I are feeling pretty good this morning and we're jumping on a bus to Vancouver after breakfast.
