Snow Snow Snow... (link) Well we made it home without drama. Actually managed a couple of hours sleep because I missed a whole movie at one point, and some crap "comedy" telly show that was playing. Customs and Immigration were pleased to see us as usual and the welcome continued with a grey sky and wet and windy day. Yep. Its definately not summer-down-under.
Its still snowing down at the mountain which means both fields are at about 2m depth which is wicked
by North Island standards. We've got our fingers crossed that it clears
up for at least a couple of days next week otherwise we're gonna be
getting a little sick of the inside of the PowderHorn pub after awhile.
5-day forecast however looks like we better pack the backgammon set. I noticed on the news yesterday morning that while I've been away a few thousand people have taken jobs and our unemployment rate
is now at a 17-year record low and about the 2nd lowest of all the OECD
countries. Perhaps I should've stayed away a little longer and we might
have taken top spot. 8:10:39 AM |
