DeeKnow’s Grotto

I tried telling the following story to a couple of workmates at the smoko table today but no one beleived me. Either that or they just dismissed it coz they thought others would think they were crazy if they admitted believing it. But I swear to Allah that its true....

A couple of nights back I was playing MS-Flightsim on the PC and had been tracing the path of the Waikato river (I've downloaded the detailed NZ scenery pack) in an Iriquois helicopter heading downstream towards the west coast.

After a couple of diversions to Meremere and Pukekohe along the way, I eventually made it out to the rivers end at Port Waikato and began buzzing tree-tops up and down the gulleys of the big hills surrounding the port.

Next thing, Kym comes in and starts talking to me so I begin swinging my head back and forth between Kym and the monitor so I didn't crash. After about 20 seconds or so I noticed a slight nauseous feeling in my stomach, then a few seconds later I got a full-on rush of motion-sickness.

I get car-sick at the drop of a hat, and like most blokes I'm incapable of doing more than one thing at a time, so I did the only think I could do in that situation. I could hardly let go of the chopper controls and trash the machine, so I ignored what Kym had to say for a minute or so, focused on the flying, and next thing I was feeling OK again.

No bull-shit.... I really was virtually-sick !!!
