today someone I know well FWD'd me an email they'd received from someone else, and they included the email from/to/CC details of colleagues in the email they sent me.

I took it upon myself to mention that they should think about masking details of other email contributors before blindly sending on to others.

I almost never bother to suggest this sort of thing to folks. I mean, it sounds pretty anal really doesn't it?. You kinda expect anyone with an email address is a little net-savvy but there are crap-loads of folks out there who are oblivious to email-percussions. To them its no different than telephone conversation.

When it comes down to it you dont really know who's gonna be recieving FWD copies of things you emailed or passed on with your name attached. If its a corpoprate or organisational address its eventually gonna attract the attention of someone who's gonna take special interest. They tell their friends, and they tell their friends and bob's your aunty.

Some e-gits never learn, but let's do our best to help those less sensibly-fortunate than ourselves ... :-)

Bowled Over - we popped out tonight for a couple of beers with friends and ended up having couple more, followed up by a game of 10-pin bowls at the Casino. That's 10-pin bowling, not the on-your-lawn-getting-pissed-on-red-wine variety 'boules'

Jeeze it was a blast, we had the place to ourselves, and I miraculously got my all time high-score of 166. The secret is definately in the lead-up drinking, doesnt do much for consistency but helps draw out a few wild-card strikes or spears just when you need them.
