Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) released (link) Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) released according to the W3C press release, but given the lack-lustre interest there's been in it so far from site publishers, there probably wont be any rush to implement. Its a bit of a chicken/egg thing, so I guess at least browser developers now have a formal reccomendation to build it into their tools. As one of its key features is specification of what a site does with user contributed personal data, it will apply more to web forms and applications that capture that data than static web publications. 9:49:22 AM |
