Kyms due home any minute now so I've just got a few mins to post a blog entry before she starts to panic on my behalf coz I havent actually started packing yet for my trip to the states which I need to leave for in about 3/4 of an hour. Funny how people worry on other peoples behalf aint it?

One of my workmates raised her eyebrow when I said I was on my way home to pack.

I'm on me way over to Florida to attend a developers conference for a vendor of a tool we've recently bought at work. Seems like a long way to go for a 4-day conference but hopefully its gonna be worthwhile, at least we'll get a good idea of whether is worth sending other folks along next year.

If your into maps and things, this is where I'm staying whilst I'm there, and the conference is about 500m down the road, a nice short hop to the beach behind.

Looks like I'm gonna have the best part of two full days at the end of the thing to lay about on the beaches along the Florida east coast. I've had a few trips to California but this is my first East coast excursion, and given that we're still in the highly active hurrican season at the moment I'm gonna be packing a rain-coat just in case I have help with evacuation procedures.
