DeeKnow’s Grotto

We're back from our knobby ski holiday and already half-way through the first week of work, and I can truthfully say I didn't think about work at all the whole time we were away. Actually, thats not quite true. One evening after skiing I thought I'd go down to the video store which is the only place with public web access and see if I could catch up on email.

Fortunately for me the old PCs they have are so crap and run such an old and retarded version of Internet-Exploder that I couldnt even fire up our web based email thingy, so that had to go by the wayside. This turned out to be a good thing coz I ended up finishing two books on the couch back at the Chalet instead of being stuck in front of a PC.

The weather down there was absolutely amazing the whole 10-days, so much so that we actually had to take the odd day off to let our tired old bodies recover. Both of us were up to speed technique-wise pretty quick and had a whale of a time (not that we saw any other whales skiing)

Ended up taking a few photos up on the ski field and a bunch of others around the Tongariro area which was starting to piss Kym off coz I was stopping the car every few kms round the mountain to jump out and take piccies. It really is a beautiful area tho, would love to buy a section or a cabin somewhere near the mountain.
