Kawasaki on the Podium... Finally !!! (link)
Thank god for home-town advantage. Japanese rider Shinya Nakano, one of the pilots of the Kawasaki MotoGP bikes, has scored the first podium finish in the MotoGP world championship for Kawasaki after almost two full seasons of racing. How the hell teams keep their morale up over two years without hardly breaking into the top-five is anyones guess, but it was great to watch on telly this arvo none-the-less...
It was a Japanese sandwich with Honda rider Tamada taking the win and the filling being Italian bike riding freak Valentino Rossi. The jap riders always seem to have a little more ugency on the home track, an almost fanatical drive to win that the western guys all seem to be affected by. Of course the opening lap crash that elimnated Biaggi, Capirossi, Edwards and Hopkins helped, but it was still a Very Cool result for team-green !!! 10:42:08 PM |
