There Goes the Neighbourhood (link)
Trusty local daily the Waikato Times reported today that one of the MPs from the NZ Green party has moved into town. Nandor Tanczos is well known for his stand on drug law reform, and the Times certainly made the most out of that in today's edition...
I mean come one, surely he's a more interesting character than that. The most offensive thing though I reckon is the headline, and this was a front page story with a prominent photo ... Rasta MP moves into the neighbourhoodLook out Hamilton!!!. You thought those Somalis were a bit odd, now you've got freeking "Rastas" moving in. Call out the armed-constabulary ... raid his house for Gods sake, he's probably selling tinnies out the back door allready. Just keep your eyes peeled for a pair of tennis shoes hanging over the power lines in the streets of Hamilton East. Pederson came out with a hard case line as she read the article and exclaimed ...
I've never formed a position on Hippies, but U gotta respect those Rastas, pretty level-headed bunch and ya gotta be impressed by the hair-do's. A recent workmate of mine used to sport a proper set of dredds and lopped the buggers off a month back. Reckons he walked round with a sore neck for awhile as the muscles got used to the absence of weight. Freaky aye? 10:29:17 PM |
