Mad George on the Moon (link)
George-Dubbya is obviously pursuing a few extra votes from the Space-Industry with his announcement that the yanks are to organise a mission to the moon in 2015. Seems kinda bizarre to me that it should take them 11 years to get around to organising a repeat performance of something done a couple of decades ago. I'm sure Georgie-boy looks upon the Moon the same way he might a desert or a forgotten mine shaft. A nice barren place to establish a millitary outpost, maybe store a few tons of nuclear energy waste material. Hell, lets mine the fuck out of the place too while we're at it, there's gotta be something of value up there on that useless looking hunk of rock. I'm no luddite, but whats more worrying to me than us polluting our own back yard (ie the Moon) is the fact that we're on the verge of trashing the rest of the solar system neighbourhood as well, and who knows where next. According to the President...
I wonder which industries Georgie-boy hasn't suckered up to so far. All the big fellahs are accounted for by now surely, the war-machine folks are happy as hell, the Oil and Energy communities have always been happy with the Bush(es). 2:00:08 PM |
