Turns out she's earning about $250/hour on-the-job so to speak in Melbourne. This is no doubt an order of magnitude more than she was being payed as an academic.

It seems my criticism yesterday of the RidingSpirits game I've been playing on the PS2 over the last couple of days mighta been a little premature, a tad harsh even. I'm now definately hooked on the progression factor in the game.

Tonight I cleaned up the rest of the 250cc and 400cc 2 and 4-stroke events and ...voila... up pop all the 600 and 750 bikes for purchase and a heap of new races and events. Now my world of fantasy motorcycling is finally taking a serious horse-power jump. Brrrmmm!!!!!!!

according to this article on the Wired site ... Churches can now collect your dollars electronically. A new device made by a Canadian company puts your offering on your credit card and gives you a tax receipt along with a prayer.

This could be a good thing if you're a little on the thrifty side I guess as you could enter what you like on the keypad and noone else will see how much, not like dropping it into a bowl or plate right beside your pew-neighbours.
