Tennis Extravaganza in Hamilton (link)
Kym and I have just finished a fantastic evening of tennis. We played about 10 sets in all tonight against some stiff international-level opposition. The conditions were perfect, the courts were well turned out and we were demonstrating our usual high level of proffessionalism and came away with some nice prize money for our efforts. The only thing holding us back from reaching the finals of the competition was the fact that we'd been drinkin cider and wine all afternoon, and the only muscles we were really working out were in our fingers. Yep, you guessed it. It was Playstation Tennis (Virtua-Tennis to be precise) and it really was a blast. We played singles against each other for an hour or so which was hillarious and for the last couple of hours we've been Serena and Venus Williams (I was Serena :-) playing doubles against the worlds best women tennis players. Kym's pleased coz I've finally bought a game that we can both play and that she can actually beat me at. She'll have to keep working at it though, I'm a sore loser. Of course now we're making inebriated pledges to get out of the house and actually play some more real tennis after starting off with a bang a few weeks ago. 11:33:26 AM |
