Handhelds for Students (link) Handhelds for Students - is the topic of a thread at SlashDot this week. The concept is generally getting the thumbs down, with educator-types citing issues like I/F problems, getting info into/out of the devices, lack of robustness, distractions of the device (games etc), lesson-plan change requirements etc. Seems to be more interest in getting back to basics rather than introducing technology.
