Mono C# compiler finaly can compile itself! (link) Mono Milestone - the C# compiler from the project (an effort to create an Open Source implementation of the .NET Development Framework) is now able to compile itself. An announcement on the Mono list in January spawned a thread at Slashdot and another yesterday. Apparently "two months ago, the mcs was able to compile itself on Windows, using the Microsoft implementation of the framework (ie the core .net libraries).
