So Much Bike
After the 900SS-FE test-ride yesterday I wandered down Manchester St to the bike-shop I'd seen the ZX7R sitting menacingly in. Quick sign of the usual insurance form, on with the helmet and back on the road out past Hagley-park and up the same twisty quarry road I'd been on previously. Despite the colour, the truth is the ZXR was a *friggin thrill to ride* from start to finish. Really !! I was a little unsure how much welly to give the thing at first, but after only a couple of km's of windy road I suddenly found myself cane-ing along with a grin from ear-to-ear.
The Handling seemed Wicked, I'd heard and read loads where people have said the ZXR's were 'planted' or 'on rails' and other similar wank bullshit like that. But Fuck did it track well, it really did hold a nice steady line while cornering. Cosmetically its one of those machines that you either love or hate (mostly the latter I'm picking), but basically ... and despite the colour ... for $9000 it seems like so much bike 3:19:10 PM |
