Our First Lady fights for her Life (link)
The good Lord above was clearly looking out for our glorious leader yesterday on her flight of potential doom off the Kapati coast. If it wasnt for the heroics of the mighty truncheon wielding DPS mercenaries on the plane at the time we would probably be facing having a bloke leading our country for the first time in who knows how long. As the folks at the smoko room BBQ table remarked today though, what the hell was she doing in a 6-seater light aircraft anyway. Has the Air Force budget slipped so far that we cant afford decent air transport for our nations finest. If I'd known things were this tight I would have volunteered one of my own aircraft and probably flown the bastard as well, she would have been in good hands then. Of course that's all a little hypothetical now that my license has been suspended pending an investigation into my plane ditching event in January. I thought this quote from Ms Clark was priceless...
And finally, as a reflection of the sorry state of society I must point out that Google news are listing Helen's dramatic story as being carried on 155 news sites today, compared to the 273 sites covering the New Zealand vs Sri Lanka cricket series running currently. 11:09:15 PM |
