A Beaut Night Out
Friday night was loosley set aside as an evening of creative debauchery in the company of our most prolific breeder, Vike, to celebrate the arrival of his latest offspring, Sophie. Being novices at the whole babys-head-wetting kinda thing we werent sure who was supposed to organise what, so everyone bought a little something of everything. A few cigars, lots of beer and some classy Tequila later and the lads were in fine form. Jeeze we had a good night. Loads of laughs. Watched an assortment of motor-sport related videos, basically everything that the local VideoEzy outlet had in stock. Nothing quite like endless hours of coverage high performance motor vehicles blasting, crashing and racing their way around exotic race-tracks. At about 5 in the morning Lord Plunket managed to convince us to leave the multi-media-nirvana that is Gazza's garage, and off we went home in a cab. It was at about this time that I remembered I had to get up at 8:30 to drive to Taupo to go mountain-biking. I was supremely confident that this was going to be no trouble, two-hours sleep and hey-presto I'd be up and away. Couldn't be easier .... or could it .... 9:17:11 PM |
