Kola the Killer
our cat has transformed seemingly overnight from innocent moth and weta chasing kitten without a chance in the world of catching anything larger, into full-on bird-murdering beast from hell.
About a month back he dragged in a stinky carcus that was too old to have been his or he would have bought it into the house earlier. And last week he seemed to have finally actually caught one of his own, which of course we made a fuss over pretending to be impressed.
But this morning he went one better. Kym woke me up with a start at about a half-hour ago (yep, 6am) and directed me to inspect the rucus going on in the spare bedroom. I stumbled through the door to be greeted by a pile of black-bird feathers and a lifeless body. But no Kola.
Then I hear some elephant wrestling in the spare room, pop my head around the corner, and there he was with another bird that was well and truly alive. At this time of the morning I couldnt muster the patience to give the cat any positive feedback, so stole his prey and launched it out the side door.
Great !!! ... As Kym observerd...
