Movable-Type on Asterix - Have just installed this as an perl/server-based alternative to client publishing (e.g. Radio)  of a blog. Was pretty painless, required installation of a couple of supporting perl modules (Image::Size and HTML::Template).

Have added a new user to be used for write access to the blog database in MySQL and changed the standard user-name and password.

So far (I havent actually read the docs yet ;-) it looks like each post is saved in the mt_entry table and rendered out to the archives folder using its id as a filename, plus its rendered into the index page which holds a user-specified number of post days.
