My Great-Great-Grandfather on the Stringer side and his family left their home in County Kent England on the 24th March 1874 sailing on The Waikato arriving in Wellington New Zealand on the 11th of July the same year.

Leonard (born in Kent in 1837) and his wife Susannah travelled with their 4 daughters and two sons, one of which was 7 month old (on arrival) son Leonard who was my Great Grandfather.

Leonard the younger went on to raise his own family with wife to be Charlotte, and the pair had 3 children including my grandfather Wilfred (Willie):

Willie married my Grandmother Jean (real name Agnus which she doesnt care for) and the two of them had three children, one of which is my father Don (Quixote):

My immediate family
My father Don was born in the Waikato, my mum Maureen was born not far from here and us three siblins were all hauled into this world at Waikato Hospital.
