Name: Mauro Sanchini

Nationality: Italian

Began his racing career in 1989 competing in various scooter and minimoto cups until 1998 we he secured his first WSB ride finishing 31st overall with 18 points.

In 2001 he raced for Team Perdercini in the World Superbike Championship.

Racing with Ivan Clementi for Team Kawasaki Bertocchi in the 2002 and 2003 World Superbikes seasons on the 750cc ZX-7RR, Mauro was giving away 250cc to the opposition and as never a likely race winner. One thing it did have going for it was reliability, though. In qualifying, there wasn’t much to choose between Ivan Clementi and Mauro Sanchini, but the latter scored in every race bar the first one, and was good for eleventh overall.

For the 2004 season he's racing for Team Kawasaki Bertocchi again on the new ZX10, taking 6th and 7th placings in the two races at Phillip Island, and a 6th at Oschersleben so far this year.
