Name: Andrew Pitt An ex Team Kawasaki Australia rider, Pitt joined the international scene after coming second in the 1999 Australian superbike series on a ZX7RR and winning the Australian supersport series on a ZX6R that same year. He joined Harold Eckl's Kawasaki World Supersport Team to Race a ZX6R in the 2000 World Supersport Championships finishing 10th that year. The following year however he won the Supersport World Championship for the factory team after consistant finishes on a machine that was definately the underdog.
In 2003 Pitt signed with Kawasaki to ride their new Moto GP machine for the season along with fellow Australian Gary Mc Coy. Although not lacking power, the GP machine was still under development with ongoing setup changes and the two riders were not overly competitive. After failing to make the top-10 in any of the 2003 races and ending up dead-last in the championship, Pitt was uncermoniously dumped by the team at the end of the year. Moriwaki racing have recently announced he will be riding an RCV powered machine for them for a number of legs of the Moto GP in 2004.
