Name: Andrew Stroud One of the few people to have had the privaledge of racing one of John Britten's fabulous machines, Stroud won the Battle-of-the-Twins at Daytona in 1994, 1996, 1997 and 1998. He won the inaugural BEARS World Championship in 1995 on a Britten and also took out the European Pro-Twins at Assen the same year.
In 1995 Stroud paired up with fellow kiwi Robert Holden to enter the Assen 6-Hours Endurance Race on a Kawasaki ZXR/750 finishing 5th overall. And in 1998 he competed as a privateer on a ZX7R Kawasaki in the Monza leg of the World superbikes championship qualifying 24th but apparently not starting the race. According to an FIM Press Release he made a provisional entry for the 2000 WSB season in Team Green New Zealand but didnt actually compete the season. In recent years he's continued as a top competitor in the New Zealand domestic bike racing scene, riding Suzukis he won the national Production Superbike roadrace series in both 2003 and 2004 after wins in races on each leg of the series. In 2005 he had a wildcard entry in WSBK at Phillip Island as team "Superbike New Zealand" riding a Suzuki finishing 12th and 15th in the two legs.
