Tennis Victory for Blokes
Tennis

Kym and I kicked off our get-fit regime last night playing a little tennis after work up at the courts at Waikato University. She seemed very eager to play, and had been boasting about her skill and past high-school glory as a tennis legend so I was slightly nervous about my ability to defend the honour of blokes all over the world.

We started with a half-hour of volleys and rallies back and forward just having fun, but soon a confident challenge of a formal set of games came from accross  the net. I won one, she won won, and so on until we got to three games all. By this stage I was getting very nervous, but thankfully I discovered her weakness, fitness. So instead of out playing her skill wise, I simply dropped the ball where she wasn't, next thing the game score was 6-3.

Our honour is safe lads, you can thank me later. :-)

Astronauts on Mars by 2010 (link)

If you thought the conspiracy talk over alleged moon walks by humans was exciting, wait till you read about NASA's current plans to land dudes on the surface of Mars by 2010. Thats not far away, so get your A-into-G and you could be on the mission-to-mars. Greenies note, the ship will be Nuclear-powered. According to an article on space.com it seems theres a buget increase for the project which is gonna help timelines somewhat.

Segway Banned In San Francisco (link)

If you're a gadget freak at all you must have been following the news about the Segway. Unfortunately for San Franciscan owners of the $us5000 super-scooter, it will soon be illegal to use your Segway on the sidewalk (or footpath as us non-US folks like to call it) in that city, so you'd better get out and buy yourself a bike helmet.
